Martires Del Compas is a band that has in some ways, the continued legacy from El Camaron. The continuous singing about freedom and love, and the gypsy life style, finally pushed out this special type of Spanish modern day humor in the lyrics of their songs. It reminds on the singer El Barrio, sometimes using such common everyday phrases in the middle of some romantic verse, but so well put in the context, that it slaps you in the face, literally. You must understand the lyrics to appreciate it properly because the music is composed, arranged and produced based on a completely simple gypsy guitar type understanding of musical forms and harmony. Although lacking HI Q production, this band is a very good reflection of the modern day Spanish people’s spirits, open to anything, and for everything. Free to live, love and despair, and deeply rooted into nomadic philosophy of “live and let live”…

Martires Del Compas son una banda, qual es de muchas maneras, la herencia continuada de El Camaron. Cantando continuadamente sobre la libertad y el amor, y el estilo gitano de la vida, finalmente sacaron este tipo del humor de hoy dia Español, en las letras de sus canciones. Recuerdan al autor y cantante El Barrio, de vez en cuando utilizando las frases tan sencillas del dicho diario, en el medio de algun verso romantico, pero tan bien puesto en el contexto, que te da un tortazo a la cara, literalmente. Deberia comprender las letras para poder apreciarlo propiamente, porque la musica es compuesta, arreglada y producida basado en un entendimiento de formas musicales y armonia bastante basico, proveniendo del mundo de la guitarra gitana completamente. Aunque carece de la producción HI Q, esta banda es un muy buen reflejo de los espíritus de los Españoles modernos, abiertos a todo, y para todo. Libre para vivir, amor y desesperación, y profundamente sumerjido en la filosofía nómada de “vivir y dejar vivir” …
