He was Maestro’s fountain of inspiration during the ’60s, and his illness became a big loss for the world of flamenco guitar. Energy and tone that Niño Miguel posses are just beyond compare. On his two successful albums, he achieved to record and publish with Philips during his youth, during the seventies, “La Guitarra de El Niño Miguel” and “Diferente”, there are very progressive thinking arrangements for the guitar, in traditional flamenco forms like bulerias. He uses South American motifs and plays around with style, form, and harmony. The innovation on these two albums is so incredible, that it was not at all behind Paco’s works at the time. But Paco De Lucia designed his albums much more as an international, world music, while Miguel’s musical editions were oriented much more towards exclusively Spanish audience…

Para Niño Miguel Paco De Lucia ha dicho muchas veces, que el es probablemente el mejor guitarrista de todos los tiempos. El fue la fuente de inspiration del Maestro en los ’60, y su enfermedad fue una gran perdida para el mundo de guitarra flamenca. La energia y el tono que el tiene esta simplemente fuera de comparacion. En sus dos exitosos álbumes que logró grabar y publicar con Philips durante su juventud, durante los setenta, “La guitarra de El Niño Miguel” y el “Diferente”, hay arreglos de pensamiento muy progresivo para la guitarra, en formas flamencas tradicionales como las bulerías. Utiliza motivos sudamericanos y juega con el estilo, la forma y la armonía. La innovación en estos dos álbumes es tan increíble, que no estaba para nada detrás de las obras de Paco en ese momento. Pero Paco De Lucía diseñó sus álbumes mucho más como una música mundial internacional, mientras que las ediciones musicales de Miguel se orientaron mucho más hacia la audiencia exclusivamente Española…
